google.com will have your answer. you probably need to delete the registry files and you can find that info at google.com. type in your question and go from there.
You should always uninstall from the add/remove list or the app on the game's disk. You may have to prod around at Bethesda's forums for a solution now...
you are not supposed to do that. Programs install themselves into the windows registry too, where they can be difficult to remove manually, thats why you get a special uninstaller to do so.Your best chance now is to use a registry cleaner, and try to get rid of the entry, but Im not sure if that will work, and if you dont know what your messing with and delete a wrong key, then you can permenently screw up you computer.Try installing into a different folder, I dont know if that will help, but its worth a try.
I did some stuff i saw on bethesdas page, and now i got it to one error box where it says error ''-6003''
Well we have no idea what you did to find out how you got that error. I think you should just post on the bethesda forums now.
yeah, especially since everyone who is in this forum are pansies, and dont know nothing about anything. you guys are a buncha noobslisten up homiedo yourself this favor: find a iso of the game, then uninstall with thati dont care about saying it, while these guys are **** and dont wanna be banned. whereas i, couldn' gi ve two @#$@s less
The guy above me has no clue what he's talking about. Try this.1) Go to Start > Run.2) Type in regedit.3) Hit Ctrl+F and type in ''Oblivion''. Hit F3 to ''Search next''. 4) Delete all of the game's associated registry keys. Be careful at this part. Don't delete anything you're unsure of. Alternatively, you can download ''CCleaner''. Run it and go to the Tools tab. Click the Uninstall option and look for Oblivion. Once you've found it hit ''Delete Entry''.
i dont huh? well just to let you konw, theres only one way for him to uninstall oblivion: with the image of the disk , or the disk itself. go looking on isohunt for the image of the disk, restore the uninstall.exe, then mount or whateva and uninstall. very easy, i verifyed this yesterday.before you just say **** you really should know wtf you'r talking about :)now go **** yourself
additionally, a guy who doesn't know how to normally uninstall a game SHOULD NOT BE TOLD TO SCREW WITH HIS REGISTRY EVER. thats just stupid. dont do that cuz if you delete the WRONG entry you can screw up a lot of your programs, even screw up startup, all sorts of bad things start happening. WHY did you think to tell a guy who doesn't know how to uninstally to mess with his registry? wth is WRONG with you?Just find the iso, find the uninstal.exe on the damn thing, move it back to bethesda softworks, along with as many files as you can see, or just install on a friends or anothe rcomp to see the exact folder setup. then just copy it (the installed version on a friends or alternat computer) to your oblivion folder, (dont worry about the registry cuz it will take care of it for you) mount the disk, click the uninstall button (make sure not to use alchohol 120%, use poweriso or another program that ghosts mounting (look it up on google, type oblivion iso help), then double click the uninstall, it will then ask you a few questions.should this not work, dont worry about it: just delete the entire folder completely using SHIFT+Delete then try again.
I've ran into a problem i havent found a solution to... so maby you guys can help. I tried to uninstall by deleating the program files folder... big mistake... When i put in the CD:
1. Launcher starts and brings up message entitled ''Windows - No Disk'' which reads: ''Exception Processing Message 0xc000013 Parameters 0x760192A0 0x00000004 0x760192A0''2. I hit try again a few times and it just comes back up, then goes away after a few times.3. It detects my video settings4. If i hit play it gives me the same message, then tells me it cant find the executable and i need to re-install. ok, no problem. 5. I try to uninstall and it askes me if i want to uninstall, i click yes.6. The bar just sits there, then a new message comes: ''The following error occurred on the file 'D:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksOblivionDataMusicSpecialtes4title.mp3'. The device is not ready. (0x15)7. 'Ignore' and 'Try Again' do nothing except respawn the message over and over....ok, well during typing this message i found that repeatedly hitting ignore moves the bar along ever so slowly to eventual completion. hopefully this will help other not waste time on this. boy do i sound like an idot, but at least i solved my own problem!

Caio! =D
OK, i had the same problem you had, i googled the problem which took me to this page, which led me to fix the problem. i went to make an account just to help you, but i found out i already had one....

what i did was, i created a second account on my computer, logged into it, and i was able to unistall it from there
start>run>regedit> (top left corner- edit>find) type ''Bethesda '' without quotesthen deletedelete your oblivion folder in my documents

If the OP hasn't figured out how to uninstall the game in nearly 2 years, he/she is even more hosed than initially thought.EDIT - By the way, that's a pretty clever way to get rid of it.
