Anyone know why fallout 3 might not be working well?

i don't get it :|no matter how high or low i have the settings, theres still a little choppiness. its really bugging me. hell, i can run crysis on high/very high, but fallout is just not smooth. its really annoyingi have a gtx 260, E8500, 4 gb ddr2, vista 64 (latest drivers)Anyone know why fallout 3 might not be working well?
ok, i just searched around online and apparently clamping the fps at 60 should do the trickAnyone know why fallout 3 might not be working well?
It's just a weird game, all of Bethesda's new games (TES4 and FO3) have had choppy problems or crashing problems for a while. It took forever for Fo3 to run for more than 15 minutes for me and I'm Q6600, 2x8800GT's, and 4GB RAM.

yup, this worked

i just went to my documents -> games> fallout3 -> FALLOUT.ini

then i changed iFPSClamp=0 to iFPSClamp=60

smooth as butter now. though i heard that during huge gun battles when the fps natrually drops below 60, it'll cause a matrix like slow down effect to keep the game at 60fps. though this isn't nearly as annoying as the jerking, so i'm ok with this
