You should post this on the hardware forum.
Having said that, both the cards will run Crysis well at maximum (near)settings (depends on the resolution and AA)crysis. Grahics cards. Nvidia Geforce 9800gt
Get a GTS 250 and an extra gig of RAM. you should then be able to play it at good settings.
the 250 is a little out of my price range. although its going for a little less on the actual nvidia site so i may consider it when i get some more money. But neither of you actually answered my question.
Will the us cards work on the uk pc? and sorry i didnt see the hardware forum!
There is no difference in UK or US cards...all of these stuff are universal. The difference would be basically in prices. Whether it'll run on your PC or not depends entirely on the space available in your case, power supply and motherboard compatibility.
This seems like a very good deal on New Egg:LINKI think that's a great card, so you should try it.
okies thanks. im getting a 650w psu which is more than enough for the card and my pc came with a 7050 so i know my motherboard is compatible with the geforce cards!

There is more to GPU compatibility. You made to make sure your Mobo has a PCI-e 2 x16 slot. nVidia geforce 7050 is an integrated graphic card not a standalone one.
my pc has:
1 pcie_x2
1 pcie_x16
1 pci2
1 pci3.
is this what you mean?
What is your motherboard? I think it should be compatible.
how do i find out what my mother board is?
iv got my pc chassy open in front of me so what sort of things am i looking for?

Yes you are good to go. Also you might wanna check in UK more. If the difference is only $10-20 it will be better to get the vga form uk considering if you buy from US you have to consider the shipping costs
I would also recommend looking for the ATI 4830. Same performance with the 9800gt ( some games the 9800gt is a bit better other games the 4830 is a bit better) and usually is a bit less expensive than the 9800gt
well i have been looking and im considering getting the gts 250. would this work on my pc?
http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/product_geforce_gts_250_uk.html here is the site for the card.
and here is the psu im getting. can you have a quick look and let me know if this would be compatible as well.

As far as I know, it should work fine. Just make sure your case is big enough though, because these cards are huge.
Just a heads up, make sure your Power supply is big enough. As for the question... No there is not difference in British american, asian or any other card, they are built off the same blueprint, and all have to meet the same specs (if the company adds to those specs are thier own affair)BTW: grats on buying a 9800 gt those are some really nice cards ^^and yeah the 250 is a very good buy :Dnm diddnt see you allready bought a psu :s

The PSU will be good enough for that card. The 250 would be a very good choice for Crysis. Looks good to me.
yeh. it looks like it should fit. Chris24l. you have seen my acer veriton m464 on a site that i sent to you on my last thread and you said the 9600gt should fit and the gts 250 is no bigger/smaller. they are both nine inches.
