Yeah, I've been watching all I can find for a few days now. It looks really awesome...
By the way, that signature of yours is hilarious.
I havent had the chance to try it out on Multiplayer yet. Theres apparently a few issues with it because the game wasn't supposed to be released until today along with the day-0 patch. I'm at work right now, hoping to try it out once i get home. I havent tried it with the day-0 patch which also brings a fair amount of balance changes. The game is pretty fun. The complete lack of a tutorial had me fumbling around the very first game i played. Didn't take very long to figure out everything though, and i certainly did a lot better the subsequent matches. In short this game is a dedicated version of DOTA. Some people complain about the lack of maps (about 8 maps) and the lack of heroes (8 demigods). But I think its fine since they are all extremely well done. Each hero feels quite different. The Torchbearer is the one i like the most so far. He's definitely the ''glass cannon'' out of all the heroes i tried. He's fantastic at killing heroes but the most vulnerable. The game on Normal is, unfortunately, a bit easy. You can probably not make zero contribution and you might still win. Hard difficulty is fairly challenging though.Matches can vary a fair bit depending on the game mode set. ''Slaughter'' is a game type that requires killing X demigods for your side to win. It might be because im the Torchbearer, but i can usually finish it in less than 10 minutes. On the other hand, ''Dominate'' can take a good 30+ minutes sometimes. Dominate mode requires you to earn points based on capturing flags and a ticket system (just like CoH or DoW 2)... Theres usually 11 flags so theres alot of trading back and forth.I really can't find any major faults with the game. Maybe that it sometimes can get a little TOO hectic when theres 4 demigods + two clashing armies. It can be a little hard to figure out whats going on and you need to wait until the dust settles to get a sense of things.I would rate the game a pretty solid 8.0. But this is just from about 3 hours of play.If you have any specific questions (not relating to multiplayer) i'd be happy to answer.

You had me sold at Dedicated Version of DotA
Actually, if i were to have to find some kind of major fault in the game, its that i might be hesitant to recommend if you are only interested in its singleplayer. Thers no real campaign, just a simple ''tournament'' mode that takes you through each map in various modes and then gives a simple ending cinematic based on your character. While its kinda a ''no-duh'', its definitely a multiplayer game.
I reserved the collectors edition (just for the soundtrack, hopefully it isn't crap), but I'll probably pick it up tomorrow after I take a look at what everyone thinks about it.

There was a CE? Dang, I missed out. From what I've seen gameplay wise the soundtrack is pretty awesome.

You can order the CE version for $50 directly from Stardock which gives you a digital copy that you can start to download immediately, and then they'll ship you the boxed version (along with the CE contents) to arrive a bit later. The game is a bit under 2GB. Not a huge download.
I wanna ask, do you think it will sell so the there will be people online?

The review I saw gave it an 86/100. That's pretty good, plus, as a DotA fan, I can honestly say that I will be playing it for a long time...and there's alot of DotA fans out there. I'd say it will sell pretty well when people find out it's so good. MORE REVIEWS!

I'm not really impressed by it so far, so I'm waiting for a demo, if they'll ever release one, but I'm certain of one thing, League of Legends will obliterate it ;), can't wait for it to be released, I'll be buying it as soon as it's available ^__^.

I don't know...Legends looks pretty cool but i like the 'Small Arena, Big Guys' theme behind Demigod. I mean, I'll be picking up Legends too, but Demigod looks pretty sweet. And asfar as it goes, I much prefer the graphics on Demigod...Legends looks a little TOO MUCH like DotA...
Christ I hate that sniper dude. Everybody complains about him, yet everybody's using him. Can't wait for the patch...I'm playing with The Rook mostly. He's totally awesome.Every hero is good (apart from that overpowered sniper), but The Rook fits my style better.

Rook looked pretty freakin' sick. But I like the 'Queen of Thorns' (?) gameplay I saw. Her, or Torchbearer seem more my style.

You install archers on one shoulder, a light pillar (laserlol) on his other and a trebuchet on his head. The archers can be upgraded. His hammer attack can be upgraded too, it's absolutely devastating. You can raise some pillars from the ground. You can absorb buildings to replenish your health. It's the perfect siege machine. I methodically clear a path through the enemy defenses for my team with Rook...Torchbearer is a glass cannon - extremely powerful, but very fragile. His best spells require him to be right in the middle of the enemy troops, so without a healer/support demigod nearby, he's gonna get owned. He needs more micromanaging and teamwork than other demigods.I like the singleplayer. I always liked tournament style campaigns, like UT2k4 or Quake 3.I can definately say that the game has two main inspiration sources, DotA and CoH/DoW aside - Universe at War and Rise of Legends.
tTell me omre about the others pleaase, I'm getting interested
Basically theres two sides: Good and Evil.Good:The rook; already discussed.Sedna is a healer as well as a counter healer. She rides on top of a tiger and although she is the most ''support'' role oriented of any hero, shes a very capable damage dealer on her own as her tiger has one of the fastest attack speeds of any hero. She provides a very important role of preventing enemies from healing through abilities.Regulus is a winged angel with a mini ballista. Hes a ranged fighter that does a little too much damage. He's a bit frail but its fairly easy for him to get into and out of combat. Havent used him much at all.Oak is pretty badass. Hes more of a damage absorber than the rook is, but hes abit lacking in immediate damage. Part of that is made up due to the fact that he can become completely invulnerable for a short period of time. He's probably the guy i have the hardest time killing.Evil:Torchbearer; already discussed.Unclean Beast. More of a CCer type of hero. He's got excellent hitpoints, but poor armor. Fully upgraded he might even be the best melee damage dealer as he attacks very fast with good damage and can slow down his enemies making it nearly impossible to escape his wrath. Heavy focus on +Life Regen makes him extremely durable.Vampire lord. He's a little weird. His abilities revolve mostly around pumping up his minion units. While he doesnt deal particularly great damage, his vampiric bite attack makes him survive quite a long time with judicious use, allowing your minions to whittle down the enemy. He's the only hero that can directly heal his minions.Queen of Thorns. She has two modes, One can focus on destroying buildings and towers. Towers can be pretty deadly in this game so having someone that can take them out is very useful. Her other mode deals more with her ''Shambles'' pet. A bit similar to the vampire lord in this regard, except instead of life leeching she can create barriers to have longevity. She can only have 4 Shambles (unlike the vampire lord's 10 or so Nightwalkers) but they are each fairly strong.

So far from what I played of the singleplayer tournaments are I have the potential to really love this game. So fast paced and action packed, wish there was a tutorial but singleplayer is good for experimenting w/ the concepts, skills, and items. Haven't tried out MP yet because thanks to Gamestop the servers are overloaded and acting weird still from the unexpected load. I think when the dust settles and they have the servers running stable this game will have a strong MP community.
