Looking for a good FPS, need help...

Hello guys, I'm looking for a FPS that has good graphics which I can enjoy on my PC. I am not a big fan of storyline games, I like quick action type of games like Battlefield 2/2142(I got them both but am bored with 'em) which I can play offline. Does someone know anything that are along with the lines of Battlefield 2142/2?Looking for a good FPS, need help...

I don't got an excellent connection to play online, so I usually play offline. I'll try CS:S...
I just bought CS:S, I remember playing it with my cousin 2 years ago. Lets see if it goes well.
Doom3, Quake4, Bio-Shock, and Crysis (haven't played this one) are great games off-line for F.P.S. fans.

I don't like the story-mode games stuff...something with instant action is what I prefer more.

COD 4 has a instant action mode like BF2?
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has a Terrorist Hunt mode for instant action, but to be honest, if you want to spend your money on a great single-player game, I'd go for Far Cry or COD2.
COD 4 doesn't have any instant action. But it has an enjoyable singal player which I played many times over again because its just awesome :PAlso seeing as you have internet you might as well go play online. Probably one of the best multiplayer FPS games that are available right now and for a while to come. It has challenges which can be finished while slaughtering your opponents, giving nice challenges to complete, excellent rank and unlock features :)
The thing is, I don't got a great connection. It really doesn't work well when playing online. So I choose to play offline rather than getting kicked.

Hm, how is Company of heroes? I'm thinking of getting it. Or maybe with the gold pack(Which also includes opposing fronts expansion pack).
CoH is a fantastic game. Also, for fps, Half Life 2 is good.
I like RTS and FPS, so I think getting CoH might be a good choice. It has skirmish mode other than the campaign right?
