Best total war series game so far.

I was just wondering guys, the new total war game (Empire:Total War) which we all total war fans a very excited get our hands on, will be realsed very soon. I looked back when i played shogun, Medieval and Rome. My personal favorite was Rome:Total War. Played it like crazy when i bought it :D:D What do you guys think? Which has been your favorite total war game to this date? Best total war series game so far.
Medieval II, easy.Best total war series game so far.
Depends entirely on the era which you prefer the most. But Medieval 2 was just a better and more complete game than all the others, aswell as having the much better time line...Crusades ftw!

medieval 2 was alright, i guess. it was bit too complicated at time haha:D i mean rome was plaine simple if u ask me :D
I only really tried Medieval 2 and thus my vote goes to that game. I still play it from time to time because sending huge armies into devastating battles is just a thrill.

M2 although shogun was cool to.
i also enjoyed creating a massive n powerful army 4 my self, then give the computer only the worst units in the game :D then just sit back n enjoy the massacre:D:D
I would love to say Medieval 2 but it gets to hectic towards the end game. Rome Total War is better because of its late game.
Medieval 2.
It depends on whether I'm in the mood for legionaries and phalanxes or knights and longbowmen. I have both Medieval 2 and Rome on my pc and I play them both still.
Rome because the units are more versatile and it's quite possible to win an extremely imbalanced battle depending on the strategy you use.

Rome, I've played it a lot longer than Medieval 2.
the lack of love for m1:tw is disturbing :(it had AI that didn't just spam siege equipmet, diplomacy was better, AI was better due to the risk style board and didn't just stand around doing nothing with full 20 mongol freeking armies stading 10 feet away from a city, it had moments where you had to decide betwen staying loyal to your king or joining the rebelion, destroyed factions could rise up again, muskets were actualy useless in rain just like in RL etc etchow is it that people like M2 more -.-
For me its either a tie between Shogun and the original Medieval. Shogun has the best main map, atmosphere and faction layout while Medieval is more diverse with more options.

Medieval IThe AI was simply fantastic for a game of its time. Rome and M2 suffer from terrible AI problems (M2 armies composed entirely of siege equipment...:lol: )
M2TW, especially with SS 6.1.Soon to be replaced by Empire, of course.
