Fallout 3 CTD

i've just bought fallout 3 and installed with no problems. but when i click play i get a blank screen and then a message saying fallout 3 has encountered a problem. my processor is a

AMD sempron 2800+

my graphics card is a

Radeon 9550

is it purely because of one of these or is it something else

And before you ask i have installed the latest patch and i don't have ffdshowFallout 3 CTD
AMD sempron 2800+ - Problem (small)

Radeon 9550 - Problem (HUGE!!!)Fallout 3 CTD
So i have to replace both or will replacing the graphics card fix the problem?
IMO upgrading it is a waste of money, you need to get a new PC :(.If you want to upgrade it, then you must chnage the graphics cards, but AGP cards nowadays are pretty expensive and for that price they are almost garbage compared to PCI-E cards.
So that's the only problem with it, it couldn't be anything else

(just incase i end up getting a new one and it still dosn't work)
I personally had absolutely no problem with it, it ran perfectly, but some had.Anyway your problem is hardware, it doesn't meet the minimum requirements :( and as I said even if you would have managed to get into the game, you would only get a few frames, even on the lowest settings, on that 9550 :(.
actually the 9550 can run fallout 3 it seems to be shador 2.0 compadable since the x800 is on the list. You have to do some tweaks for it 2 run check them out on google.

Honestly Fallout3 is just about the buggyist mess I have ever run across...Make sure to update the game, the patches helps alot. Also visit the official forums, it generally seems like the windows live freck out some peoples fallout 3 making it impossible to launch, try looking for a way to keep it from running.other then that, I have no idea what you could do, well take a look at the bethsoft forums... there will be answers and workarounds for you there.
