Is CIV IV like CIV III?

I really loved CIV III and was thinking about CIV IV and how great it looked. Does it compare to CIV III?Is CIV IV like CIV III?
i liked civ 3 and i liked civ 4 so they are similar enough so that you probably would like it. But, 4 is actually easier (well, im no hardcore player so i only play on more basic levels :P so for those 4 is easier). its much easier to learn and probably a little dumbed down. It might take a little while to learn the changed aspects like the civilians and such. but for the price (it should be cheaper for all expansions) i'd say its a good buy... but go ahead and try the demos which i think existsIs CIV IV like CIV III?
I found Civilization IV to be better then Civilization III in just about every way. By all means, go get it.
