Counter Strike lag

I was playing some laggy games of CS:S last night and when it got pretty laggy, it just jumpin around and then whenI tried to type, it was in chinese.... is that normal?Counter Strike lag
Maybe you were playing on a Chineese server. Do you know what the name of the server was?P.S: Always Check the Latency of each server you want to go on. Latency is the same thing as Ping.Counter Strike lag
i know what you are talking about. a friend in greenville of mine was playing and his servers was laggy too.
Go to options, click on keyboard, click on advanced, check enable developer console. Then type these following lines into the console by pressing tilde.net_graph 3cl_updaterate 100
cl_cmdrate 100
rate 30000That should fix a lot of your problems, but also make sure you find servers with pings of less than 100.

Yeah it is, I don't play CS:S without entering those console commands.
do i enter them seperately? all together?
You would put them all in the console seperately, but if you were a Chinese server, these will do absolutely nothing.
