I know that Macs are not gaming computers, and I got it for other reasons, such as an over generous mom and possible art uses in College, but I was wondering if anyone knows any good games! Again, I realize, not so great for gaming, but I'd like for something to distract me during class!
Any suggestions are welcome! So, I got a Macbook Pro for christmas...
Well, if you install Windows using Bootcamp, you can play any Windows game that supports your video card.Otherwise, most Blizzard games support Mac OS X, so you can play them without needing Windows. Apple also provides a list of Mac OS X compatable games as well here (http://www.apple.com/games/); I'm not sure if that list is complete, but it provides a good starting point. So, I got a Macbook Pro for christmas...
Yes, thank you!
I already installed Warcraft, but that's pretty much it. Any other games you'd specifically recommend?
Depending on what video card you have, I'd recommend buying Call of Duty 4, the single-player, while short, is a blast, and there should still be a healthy multiplayer population.
The newer macbook pros come with a 9600M GT, which is a quite powerful for a notebook card. Once you install bootcamp and get windows running, you should be able to play any game you desire, even Crysis on pretty decent settings.
